Heart & Voice is an educational ministry that is designed to serve you! We have resources that will help churches, pastors, music leaders and individual Christians improve their congregational singing and worship. There are many articles on worship and worship music, as well as music files and sheet music which we hope you will find helpful. We would recommend that you jump right in and choose a music file, open up the sheet music, listen to the music file, and begin the learning process. All our psalms and hymns are set up in SATB format (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass), so you can learn to sing the part that fits your voice range. After all, not everyone can sing the bass part! But even if you have never sung a harmony part, you may be surprised to find how easy it is after a little practice. Listen to your part over and over again, and you will be training your ear to hear how it all fits together. Maybe you have struggled singing psalms and hymns in the worship service at your church(the songs are pitched too high or too low for your voice), but once you have learned how to sing a harmony part, you’ll find that you will be able enter more fully and joyously into the worship of Almighty God.
Many of the songs you will find here are original lyric compositions set to music from many different sources. Some you may find familiar, some will be new. We would encourage you to begin with the group of core songs that are part of our Heart & Voice Singing School. When a Singing School is scheduled for your area, you’ll be ready to sing to the Lord with confidence. And just a little about our Singing Schools: we have experienced teachers ready to provide further training in part-singing. It’s one thing to learn your part to a particular hymn, but it is quite another to sing skillfully together with the other parts. Putting it all together is the goal of our Singing Schools, and we think you’ll find it a lot of fun! If you or your church would like to schedule a Heart & Voice Singing School, please call or email.
